Fun Pub Quiz Ideas

Hello fellow quiz lovers.
You may or may not be into pub quizzes but a pub quiz is a very inexpensive form of entertainment. If done correctly it can be a huge attraction and can boost the bar takings on an otherwise quiet night.
A night out down the local has to be a fun experience, don't you agree? I do and that's why my pub quizzes are fun and very popular because of this. To make fun quizzes you need many different elements to keep the customers interested and I'm going to give you some good ideas in this article.
What you need to do is to get away from the serious quiz because this creates the wrong atmosphere, trust me, you don't need it. The create online quiz should be very easy, you want anyone to be able to take part and have a chance of winning.
You will find people in your pub that say no to taking part in the beginning will generally change their minds once they realise they can answer most of the questions. There is also a good chance you will get them hooked and have them return week after week.
It doesn't take long for an easy fun pub quiz to become packed out every week, I should know, my quizzes are full week after week, year after year in 6 different pubs.
Let's take the most popular quiz show on TV, The Weakest Link, why is it so popular? Because anybody can answer the questions and anybody can take part with a chance of winning. Apply this to a pub quiz and you can easily see the attraction.
I incorporate a TV show into my pub quiz, it's Family fortunes and makes a great fun round that anybody can win, no matter what their intelligence.
Every week on the quiz team handout sheet I also add a moderately easy brain teaser. This gives the teams something to do while they are waiting for the quiz to start and it also adds another fun element to the quiz.
I try as often as I can to make my weekly special round or theme round as creative as I can think of. Try to think of strange subjects, like famous robots, and research them online. Come up with weird and wacky ideas to add another element to the fun quizzes.
Most importantly make your general knowledge round interesting too. Go online and search for things like "Did you know?", "Strange but true", "Record Breakers" and so on..
Once every 2 weeks I also have an unexpected speed round. A speed round is a manic 3 minute round where the teams have to guess as many answers as they can on a particular subject. Some speed rounds I have made are American States, U.K. Counties and Fruits.
Once in a while I will hand out Dingbats before the quiz starts to give the teams something to do and also I award 2 bonus points to the team that guesses the most correct. If you are not sure what a Dingbat is then it's a picture which represents a well known saying or catch phrase. A kind of puzzle.

A Six Figure Income Online - Write Your Own!

Can Article Marketing Help You To Earn A Six Figure Income Online?
Absolutely! Even though the Internet is a dynamic and changing environment, and there are many other traffic strategies that you can use, Article Marketing is still one of the most effective, free methods of increasing traffic to your website, landing page or offer, building your credibility within your market niche and building your list of subscribers.
Why Does Article Marketing Work?
First of all, people are always searching the Internet for information and your task is to place relevant and valuable information in front of your target audience. In order to achieve this you will need to carry out some research to discover what they looking for - and provide it to them!
Secondly, if your article contains valuable and interesting content, it may well be noticed by other online marketers, within your niche, and shared with others. This only serves to increase your profile, as they are required to attribute the article to you if they use your content 'as is'.
What Is The Real Benefit Of Article Marketing?
The real benefit of an article is that, once you have written it, and submitted it to article directories for publication, it carries on 'working for you' for years to come.
It's available to the whole of the world-wide web and, providing your content is of value to your target audience, article marketing is a pretty simple traffic generation method - and certainly one I would recommend as a part of your overall strategy for earning a Six Figure income online.
A huge benefit of this strategy is that you are allowed to place a link (or links) to your website in the 'resources section' at the bottom of your article. This is a simple method of creating back-links to your website and back-links are a proven method of helping your website to rank higher in the search engines. Once you achieve this you can start to see what's known as 'organic traffic'.
In fact, some people have been able to earn a Six Figure Income online by utilizing article marketing as their main strategy!
Can I Write Enough Articles To Generate A Lot Of Traffic For My Website?
Sure you can! A great way to use Article Marketing, as part of your overall strategy to earn a Six Figure Income online, is simply to take the article you have written and 'reposition it. Here's what I mean:
Let's say you're in the fishing niche and you've written an article on carp fishing. Take the same article and create variations to it. Here are some suggestions for variations:
Tips on successful..
Frequently asked questions about..
A Review of..
How to land a..
Top 10 lists of..
5 steps to..
Mistakes and errors to avoid...
Myths about..
Rules to follow..
Create online quiz, people love them
Stories about an event
A checklist - before you set out..
I'm sure you get the idea. Once you've created that first article it can be the springboard to creating several more - and fast!
There you have it. In my opinion Article Marketing is still a highly effective, free method to get traffic and help you to earn a six figure income online.

Developing Online Interactive Training Modules

Over the past several years, tools for creating online training programs have become increasingly robust. Many feature the ability to add interactive elements, so that you can test trainees on how much information they have actually retained. Also, interactivity increases user engagement, which leads to increased retention.
When you develop a training program, be sure to focus on the interactive elements. There are many ways to add interactivity to your online training.
Quizzes are a popular choice, and can be very effective for summarizing key content and ensuring that the trainee has a firm grasp of the concepts presented in the training. Also, by adding short quizzes throughout the training process, you help break the monotony of reading slide after slide. To produce a Create Online Quiz, create a short summary of the key concepts in each section of the training module, and turn those concepts into questions. Then, use the quiz features in your training software to produce the interactive quiz.
You may also find it useful to add an interactive learning path to your training module. By allowing the trainee to select which sections of the training they would like to view, you provide a way to gather information about what they already know and what they would like to learn most. Customizing the experience to the existing knowledge of the trainee is a great way to increase engagement and ensure that the training experience meets the needs of different trainees.
As the trainee works through each training module, consider using their performance to make the training more difficult or easy. By providing a challenge more suited to their abilities, you increase their engagement in the training module. However, consider whether trainees will be graded on the training. Altering the level of difficulty for different users will make fair grading difficult.
By adding some interactive elements to your online training, you can provide an experience that is both interesting and instructive. Hopefully these tips give you a few ideas for improving the interactivity of your training modules.

Online High School - Beginner's Guide

With the ever-increasing niche subjects in schools, but even more pressing budget problems, high schools are resorting to a new method of learning: online schools. Most people think of distance learning as another form of home school, but the two could not be more different. Online schools are usually state sponsored and Department of Education approved. They charge minimal enrollment rates that are typically paid by the local public school system. The major difference: you only take a few classes online. For the others, one sits in a regular high school classroom.
Thus, online schooling has emerged as the oddball class alternative. Schools do not want to teach an entire class for only five students, but the students still want to take the class. If the Advanced Placement class I want is not available at my school I can apply to be in an online class. Class sizes are usually limited to only ten or fifteen students, but each class begins at a different time of the year to allow for conflicting local school schedules. After you are signed up and login on the virtual school webpage, it is time to start your class!
Welcome and First Weeks:
Your online teacher will contact you right after you sign up to take a class. He or she needs to establish some of the ways that your local school will help in your online learning process. You will need to find both a mentor at the local school and a place to work. Since the online classroom works just like a physical one, there must be both a place in your schedule to take the online class and a teacher to supervise your progress. Choosing to work in the school library is likely the best option; one of the librarians can serve as your mentor. There will also be a required textbook and your school may or may not have it in stock. The books used are usually different from ones at your local school, so try to get these ordered in advance.
Course Modules and Pace:
Different from most home school schedules or distance learning, your online class probably requires submittal of assignments and completion of coursework by certain dates. The course is broken up into modules or sections with several sub-sections in each module. Your teacher is responsible for helping to create the module content, so he or she is very knowledgeable about what you will be learning. Each week you will be responsible for several sub-sections. This means a few different things. First, you must read the applicable sections of your textbook and understand them thoroughly. The material covered in the book may or may not be different from that in the online modules. Next, you should read through the online module. Most modules are presented in a easy-to-read format with plenty of pictures and graphics, but are also concise enough to understand easily. After you feel you understand both of these texts, move to the activity portion of the module.
Activities are similar to class work exercises, just like the reading is basically lecturing. Some online teachers choose to provide recorded supplemental lessons that enhance the content or provide specific instructions and help on how to complete the activity. Unlike class work, you can work on this activity for as long as you like. Usually the student types up the activity and then uploads it onto the site.
The pace of the course is measured by activity submittals and is not related to the time you spend working on the reading or class work.
Quizzes and Tests:
My first online quiz was extremely nerve-racking, but it really is nothing to worry about. Consider this, you probably can take the quiz multiple times! However, there are no hints and no study guides. Quizzes can be taken whenever you want. The student chooses how much to study for a create online quiz and how many times he or she takes the quiz. Most quizzes are multiple-choice, allowing for instant grading and feedback. If you miss any questions the incorrect question is shown, but the correct answer is not displayed. That means you have a good shot of improving your grade when taking the quiz again since the questions are usually the same.
While you can choose when to take quizzes, your mentor supervises tests. He or she gets a list of test passwords and must watch while you take the test so that there is no cheating. The test can only be completed once and questions usually are a mix of multiple-choice and some short answer.

How To Design A Map Quiz That Even A Cartographer Would Love

Q. How can I design an interesting map quiz?
A. You can't. At least you can't if you intend to design a map quiz where you draw some geographical areas and then ask "Where is South America?". While that would definitely qualify as a map quiz, it wouldn't make the grade of an "interesting" map quiz.
There is a thin line between geography quiz and map quiz. Once you cross that line, and get away from the simple geography, you can make a map quiz downright interesting.
For example, you might design a map quiz that asks questions about how maps are actually made. A lot of people don't realize the magic that is needed to represent a round world on a flat piece of paper. Questions along this line could be very enlightening.
Another great set of map create online quiz questions could deal with how to navigate a ship using charts and a pair of dividers. You could ask them to determine how many nautical miles it is between two points.
Maybe you'd like to combine a map quiz with a scavenger or treasure hunt. Bury something valuable somewhere and then create treasure maps. The map quiz could ask questions that can only be answered by reading the map. As each question gets answered the person gets closer to finding the prize.
Another great idea would be to present a complex problem that has to be solved by being able to read and understand a map thoroughly. Here's an example:
You have 10 days vacation and decide to take a car trip around the United States.
You can drive no more than 10 hours per day and you can drive no faster than 55 miles per hour.
Your trip must start and end in the same State. Other than that, you may not visit any state more than once.
You must exit a state at the opposite border that you entered it from. For example, if you entered a state from the North, you must exit from the South. if you entered from the Northeast, you must exit from the Southwest.
At the end of each 10 hour period you must spend the night (14 hours) in a town or city whose name contains the letter "e".
Using the map, mark your daily route, including the number of miles driven, and circle the name of the town or city that you spent the night in. Be sure to write the day # as well.
The person who visits the most states in the 10 day period wins.
That ought to be a map quiz that will be remembered for some time to come.
Remember, a map quiz doesn't have to be dull and boring; use your imagination to develop a map quiz that challenges and stimulates.

Bring Out The Wizard In Kids With A Harry Potter Quiz

Q. I think that Harry Potter provides an excellent learning opportunity for my kids. How can I take advantage of his popularity to teach my children something?
A. You're on the right track here I think. A Harry Potter quiz would be an outstanding vehicle to teach your children logic. You don't necessarily have to focus on particular scenes from any of the books or movies, you can use a Harry Potter quiz as a foothold into a wider learning experience.
For example, you could devise a Harry Potter quiz that sets up a scenario where Harry Potter is faced with a problem that needs to be solved. He can use 1/3 magic, 1/3 math, and 1/3 logic to solve the problem.
For example: You could create a Harry Potter quiz question that says:
"Harry Potter is lost in the Forbidden Forrest. He has forgotten his magic wand and his spell book. All he has is his watch, a telescope, and one spell that lets him understand what animals are saying but doesn't let them understand him. Help Harry Potter get back to Hogwarts."
Let me just say that I'm not sure that this particular Harry potter create online quiz question can even be answered. It's your job to write the quiz, I'm only here to give you ideas.
What you want to make sure is that you don't just go for the easy answer and create a Harry Potter trivia quiz. That won't do anything for your goal of creating a Harry Potter quiz that will teach your children something. Be creative and imaginative. The results of a well-crafted Harry Potter quiz will be magical if you do it right.

Can an Online Quiz Really Answer the Question, "Does My Ex Still Love Me?"

Are you truly in love? Tests can help you find out, but you have to be sure you take the correct ones. Consider one of those short little quizzes you find in popular magazines and you'll in all likelihood just end up even more confused than you were before. Before you make that error, here are some guideposts for obtaining a good quiz.
What the Quiz Can Tell You
Most of the time, it's hard to go wrong with entrusting your "gut instincts." For instance, if you feel like you're in danger, it's nearly always a good idea to get out of the position even if there's no obvious mark of danger.
Well, the trouble here is that both love and puppy love are such mighty emotions they fog your power to tell which is which (Yeah, like you genuinely need me to tell you that). Sometimes, you just can't believe your instincts to lead you to a effective relationship.
By asking questions that help separate feelings that could lead to deep, long-lasting love from those that will go away, "are you really in love" Create online quiz keep you from wasting energy on mere puppy love or lust. Even more significantly, they then help you from getting drawn into what could be a very objectionable, messy romantic entanglement.
What the Test Should Ask You
If you really need to get some real benefits from taking one of the "are you genuinely in love" tests available, you need to experience how to sort the precise ones from the useless ones. Commonly, just peeking through the questions will give you a beneficial idea of how exact the test will be. This is usually easy enough to tell by peeking at the questions.
It should also include questions that help you separate initial puppy love that could bloom into a deeper, true love from feelings that aren't likely to lead to anything serious. The quiz should ask how your love makes you feel about yourself, what emotions characterise your relationship, and how much you give for your mate. Inquiries like these zero in on common conflicts between love, puppy love, and lust.
Where do I look to Find Choice Quizzes
As I brought up above, popular magazines really aren't the best sites to obtain tests. The problem is, unless the writer's bio is included, you can't be sure the person who created the test is a true expert on relationships or not. That's why it's better to look for quizzes in books and Web sites penned by credible relationship experts.
Choosing a few well contrived quizzes can give you a lot of insight into whether or not your relationship has any substantial future. Finding out early on if your relationship is on the wrong track can save you a lot of stress and grief in the long run. Just make certain you get your test from a credible source, be altogether honest in your responses, and read the results of "are you really in love" quizzes with an open mind.

Why People Love Online Quiz Sites

People love to see what their personality says about themselves. They also love to see how much they know about topics that they think they have knowledge about such as television shows and such. So, that's why people like quizzes in general, but how do you answer why they like the online quizzes?
One of the major reasons that these are so popular online is because of the instant gratification people get. Every blog site has a space to post your scores so those who get a thrill from competition can allow others to try to beat their scores. They have quizzes on every thing from love to movie stars so there are always ways to see how much you know or what your personality is like.
Another reason that these create online quiz sites are becoming popular. As with other quizzes that were done on paper like the ones in the magazines that us women love to take, you have to score them yourself. Now, ladies you know how long those can take. Mostly A's this is what it says about you or count up all the points A's are worth this amount. You remember those. I know I do and I remember being in a rush to see what it had to say about me. There's a perk to online quiz sites and those are the instant answers. People thrive on how quick you can get the results. The quicker you get the results, the quicker you can share them with others who took the same quiz with you. Some are so quick that you don't have to wait until the end they give you the answer after the question.
Another reason that people play these online quizzes is due to the large amounts of cash or prizes you can win for your participation. As they become more and more popular there are so many more big money prizes up for grabs ranging from hundreds to thousands of Pounds, Euros or Dollars.
The last perk these online quiz sites is that they are more personal as well. Some of these sites allow you to create your own quiz. This can be somewhat entertaining as you come up with the quirky answers if it is of a more fun quiz. It's no wonder that people love these sites with all the things that they aim to do to please those that spend hours taking random quizzes like the many people I know.

Will the Online Quiz Make the Old Fashioned Printed Quiz Obsolete?

Q. Can you tell me the benefits of publishing an online quiz versus a printed one?
A. Well, the first benefit of publishing an online quiz that comes to mind is the fact that it's an outstanding way to drive traffic to your web site. People love quizzes and they take ones that are printed in magazines all of the time. It's reasonable to assume that if these same people knew about the existence of an online quiz that they would beat a path to your home page.
Another great feature of offering an online quiz is that you can change the subject regularly. In fact, you could offer a subscription where members sign up to be notified whenever a new online quiz gets posted.
An online quiz can also be used as a sales tool. One of the best ways of accomplishing this is to link your quiz questions to affiliate sites where you earn money when people make purchases. Then you can have a "scavenger hunt" online quiz where people have to visit those sites to find the quiz answers.
People also like to take a create online quiz because they can get instant scoring without having to turn the page upside down, or flip to the end of the magazine, to find out how they did. You can even design your online quiz so that it gives instant feedback after every answer is entered.
One last thing to consider is that you can create keyword-rich versions of your online quiz and then post the URLs to search engines. That way you will not only get search traffic from people who like quizzes, but you'll get traffic from people who are searching on the terms that you include in your online quiz!
So, while it's not likely that a printed quiz is going to become obsolete any time soon. The Internet has once again forever impacted the way that we communicate. Today's latest example? The online quiz.
